PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

As a Direct Support Professional, duties and tasks my include, but are not limited to :

Follow established policies and procedures set by the agency.

Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.

Implement and follow individualized care plans and behavioral support programs

Facilitate community integration and socialization activities for clients

Always maintain the highest standard of conduct and courtesy in dealing with clients, their family, the staff, and the community. Promote positive interaction.

Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed on best practices / policies

Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and any incidents

Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients

Assist with transportation to appointments, activities, and other outings

QUALIFICATIONS :

No job-related experience necessary! Ravenna, Ohio

18 years or older.

High school diploma or equivalent. If you are in the process of obtaining your HS Diploma or GED, please contact us for potential opportunities.

Must possess a valid, current driver’s license.

Ability to complete and pass a background check per company standards.

Positive attitude with the desire to help others.
