Starting Salary : $66,612.00
This position is open to current AFSCME BIDDERS AND the PUBLIC . Only current City employees covered under the City's Collective Bargaining Agreement with AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) - BARGAINING UNIT 1, 3, 4, & 5 are considered BIDDERS and are eligible to bid. Successful candidates must pass a drug screen and a background investigation. Persons offered employment must pass all pre-employment exams prior to appointment.
Under supervision, works in the Office of Public Safety Administration's Medical Services' Section (MS) coordinating the administrative case management functions for Sworn employees that are either injured or sick to ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures, and performs
related duties as required .

SECTION : OPSA Medical
ADDRESS : 3510 S Michigan Ave
SHIFT : Monday through Friday
HOURS : 8 : 30 am - 4 : 30 pm
DAYS OFF : Saturday and Sunday

Education, Training, and Experience
Should the above criteria not be fulfilled, the following options are acceptable :
o Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's degree or higher, plus one (1) year of experience providing medical case coordination and / or administrative support in a hospital, clinic or medical environment
NOTE : You must provide your transcripts or diploma, professional license, or training certificates at time of processing, if applicable.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected. Selected Bidders will be hired in seniority order according to the collective bargaining agreement.
Non-Bidders best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected AND
Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following :
Previous Worker's Compensation Clinical work experience OR Previous experience with Worker's Compensation claims
