DESCRIPTION

As an academic administrative unit in the School of Medicine, the mission of the Department of Family Medicine is to provide compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered health care in an academic setting to a diverse and inclusive population, while also providing rigorous training to a broad spectrum physicians and trainees that will become leaders in contemporary and translational research. The Department's vision is to create a healthier world for all by applying innovative and transformative healthcare while training the next generation of thoughtful leaders to continue discovering impactful interventions for the treatment and prevention of disease.

The Department of Family Medicine is comprised of five divisions, six centers and fifteen programs.

The various programs within the Department include but are not limited to :

Serving in the Department of Family Medicine Business Office and reporting to the Director of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst will perform financial analysis, develop and maintain financial models, and provide financial planning and decision support to management, with responsibilities including analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and preparing reports. This position supports a broad portfolio of complex divisions and programs and will serve as the primary fund manager supporting assigned fiscal processes and systems to effectively and efficiently drive business results for the assigned portfolio.

The incumbent uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional to perform financial services, accounting and business concepts, and organizational objectives to advance operations and proactively resolve challenges. The position regularly resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
