About the Role :
As a Medical Technologist, you will play an essential role in supporting accurate diagnoses and treatment decisions. You'll work with a variety of lab instruments and methods to analyze blood, urine, body fluids, and tissue samples, applying critical thinking and scientific expertise in every step of the process.
Core Responsibilities :
- Perform clinical laboratory testing with accuracy and efficiency
- Interpret results in context with patient history and clinical condition
- Report STAT and critical values promptly to appropriate care teams
- Conduct quality control and instrument maintenance procedures
- Troubleshoot technical and instrument-related issues
- Prepare reagents and manage inventory with cost-awareness
- Use laboratory information systems for test management and workflow optimization
- Teach students and lab rotation participants when needed
- Consistently meet all regulatory and accreditation standards

What You'll Need :
New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license, Provisional Permit, or Limited Permit (must be valid prior to start)ASCP Certification : MT / MLT / MLSTheoretical knowledge and independent judgment in a clinical settingPreferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science fieldExperience working in a hospital or high-complexity laboratory environment
