GIVF is seeking a dynamic and experienced full-time Senior support engineer to join our team at our headquarters in Fairfax, VA.
Responsibilities include :
- Monitor and respond to hardware and software issues using a variety of testing tools and techniques.
- Install and configure application software and related hardware (desktops, servers, and peripherals such as printers, scanners, drives, monitors, and video conferencing hardware).
- Provide software and system troubleshooting, support, and root cause analysis.
- Deliver technical support and training to end-users.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- Support phone systems, networking equipment, and email security configurations.
- Participate in and lead additional IT projects as needed.
Position Requirements :
Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree acceptable).1–3 years of directly related experience supporting end-user computing and customer support.Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent customer service.Experience with Microsoft Windows Workstation, operating systems, and common applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).Experience with desktop / laptop and application support.Experience with mobile device management and support (iOS, iPhone / iPad, Android, Windows).Solid understanding of networking principles.Experience with RMM platforms, security tools, email security, phone systems, and network management.Operational knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy, SharePoint, and Microsoft System Center products.Additional information :
