80 miles to Tallahassee & Columbus 180 miles to Atlanta 200 miles to Jacksonville 220 miles to Savannah Inpatient Faculty Nocturnist Inpatient Faculty Nocturnist Family Medicine Residency Program has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for both aspiring and experienced educators, as an Academic Nocturnist / Hospitalist. Responsibilities : Serve as an attending physician, supervising residents and medical students. Lecture, teach and mentor trainees in hospital medicine, evidence-based practices, scholarly activity, and patient management. Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance patient care and education. Participate in residency and hospital committees, and quality improvement initiatives. Assist with resident recruitment, including interviewing candidates. Closed ICU - covered by intensivists. Schedule : 2 weeks per month (14 days). (May work more according to desire for more compensation). 7-day rotation : 7 days on, 7 days off. Night shifts : 12-hour shifts. Total of 26 weeks per year (full-time). Competitive salary.
