We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Systems Engineer contributing to one of the premier programs within our Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) business unit. This role will enhance your skills in requirements clarification, systems engineering analysis, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, as well as requirements validation and verification. Your contributions will be vital to the program's success.
What You Will Do
Conduct technical analyses and define system operations by creating detailed use cases.
Break down complex requirements, define system interfaces, and assist in determining how requirements are validated and verified by the testing team.
Provide essential engineering support throughout various phases of the program’s testing initiative, including defining test processes, test architecture design, and executing verification and validation steps.
Assist with regression testing across deliverable releases to ensure quality and consistency with the program baseline.
Participate in, and contribute to, technical reviews and interchanges promoting program development.
Qualifications You Must Have
A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) along with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Expertise in : operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis / synthesis, interface definition and control, verification and validation processes.
Development experience within a government contract environment.
Possession of an active TS / SCI U.S. government issued security clearance prior to your start date with the ability to obtain a Polygraph afterwards.
Qualifications We Prefer
In-depth knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle, including roles and responsibilities.
Strong oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with Satellite Command / Control, Mission Management or Planning.
Proficiency with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.
Experience with requirements databases like DOORS.
Experience in DevOps and / or DevSecOps within an Agile development framework.
Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python).

Onsite : This role requires employees to work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees who are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is $82,000 - $164,000. The salary range is a good faith estimate that represents all levels of experience. RTX evaluates various factors when extending an offer, including the position, function, associated responsibilities, a candidate's work history, location, education / training, and key skills. Hired candidates may benefit from multiple benefits including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
