Position / Specialty : PCU RN

Shift : 3x12s, Nights, 7p-7a

Ratios : 1 : 4

Weekend Requirement : Yes, every other weekend if needed

Is on-call Required? No

Will this traveler need to float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, if needed

Required / Preferred Experience :

2 years of experience required

First time travelers accepted : No

Certifications Require : BLS, ACLS

Preferred : NIHSS

Special Requirements :

Epic experience required

Patient Ratio Experience of 1 : 4

Miscellaneous :

Open to accommodating block schedule : Requires managers approval upon request

Local Radius : 60 miles

Locals Accepted : Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate

RTO Restrictions :

All RTO must be included at the time of submission.

Approval will be based on facility needs.

Monitoring telemetry

Nasal Cannula

Non-invasive airway management

Oxygen administration

Pacemakers

PCA

PCU / DOU / IMC / Stepdown

Peripheral Line Care / Management

PICC line management

Post Cardiac Angiogram

Pre / Post Cardiac Cath

Starting and maintaining IVs

Additional Unit Information :

Interdisciplinary Support : Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Transportation, Unit Secretary

Patient Diagnoses : Cardiac conditions requiring telemetry monitoring

Pulmonary : stable trach vent, high flow, bipap / cpap

Neuro : stable acute stroke

GI : GI bleeds, liver failure

Endocrine : no insulin gtts on PCU

Surgical : stable post-op, wound vac / wound care

Sepsis, CIWA, Peritoneal Dialysis (do not require PD certification)
