Accounting Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Salinas, California. In this role, you will support various accounting functions while ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of financial transactions. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in accounting practices and a desire to gain practical experience.
Responsibilities :
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial records are up-to-date and error-free.
- Handle invoice processing and billing tasks with attention to detail.
- Enter and maintain financial data in relevant accounting systems.
- Support routine accounting operations such as monitoring payments and resolving discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and accounting objectives.
- Assist in projects related to accounting software updates and process improvements.
- Utilize tools like Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to complete tasks.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information.
Requirements :
Minimum of one year of experience in accounting or a related field.Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.Strong skills in account reconciliation and invoice processing.Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.Ability to perform accurate data entry and manage financial records.Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
