Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Fairbanks, AK 99701 (Alaska healthcare jobs) Estimated Weekly Salary : $2520 - $2700 Assignment Length : 16 weeks (February 1, 2026 - May 24, 2026) Facility Setting : 17-bed LDRP unit (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) Shifts : 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights) Hours per Week : 36 Free 1-bedroom housing included! (Pet units not available) Weekend Requirement : 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period On-Call Requirement : 3 shifts per 6-week period Holiday Requirement : Per unit needs Time Off : Up to 14 days (max 4 weekend shifts), all RTO must be requested at submission Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a hospital setting Experience in postpartum, couplet care, and circulating for C-Sections required 5 years of RN experience preferred Active or in-process Alaska RN license (highly preferred for Alaska nursing jobs) BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required Ability to float to all departments as needed Must reside at least 50 miles outside of Fairbanks, AK New graduates are not eligible for this travel nursing position Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, couplet care, and triage Circulate for C-Sections and assist with approximately 80 deliveries per month Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care Float to other hospital departments as required Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient safety Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotations as scheduled Ready to take your nursing career to the next level?
