If you're ready to take on a new challenge supporting the U.S. Navy, we're looking for a Video Teleconferencing (VTC) & Mobile Device Technician who's eager to ensure successful communications for thriving naval headquarters .

Position Description : The Video Teleconferencing & Mobile Device Technician is responsible for providing user support for VTC communications and mobile devices in support of U.S Navy onsite headquarters staff .

Minimum / General Experience : 5 years of experience working with Cisco Video Teleconferencing ( VTC ) systems

Minimum Education : High School diploma

Essential Skills / Qualifications :

  • Above average experience with C isco Video Teleconferencing systems
  • Above average experience with Active Directory databases
  • Above average experience with Microsoft Office 365 (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • E xperience supporting VTC scheduling
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to collaborate and problem-solve in a team environment

General Physical Requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on the location of the assignment .

  • Assignment Location - COMNAVSURFLANT (CNSL) , Naval Base, Norfolk, VA
  • Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift , carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Typing, communicating , repetitive motions.
  • Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
  • Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.

    • Security : Must have an active Secret security clearance to be considered; Ability to maintain a DoD Clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship

    • DoD Clearance Consists of a review of up to but not limited to :

  • Covers 10 year period and in some instances lifetime events
  • OPM Security Investigations Index (SII)
  • DOD Defense Central Investigations Index (DCII)
  • National Agency Check (NAC) records
  • FBI name check
  • FBI fingerprint check
  • Credit report check
  • A check of local law enforcement agencies with jurisdiction over the areas where the applicant has lived, worked, or attended school
  • Education check- Attendance and Degrees
  • Employment verification -may include interviews of supervisors and / or co-workers
  • Corroboration of unemployment

    • Tasks / activities include, but are not limited to :

  • Provide s technical and VTC systems modernization support services to headquarters officer staff
  • Provide s computer resource and technical services related to the maintenance and modernization of Fla Officer and Staff VTC systems
  • P rovide s configuration and end user support for government mobile devices
  • E nsure s VTC systems are operational daily
  • C ommunicat es VTC outages a nd scheduled maintenance to command as needed
  • S chedule s VTC resources and initiate s video conferences

    • Compensation & Benefits : The annual projected pay range for this position is $53,712 - $73,752 with consideration being given to various factors including but not limited to qualifications, experience, job responsibilities, and geographic location.
