Patient Volume / Census : Annual ED volume 6,404

Admissions : Yes, per ER case load

Rounding : Not required

Phone Consults : As needed for patient coordination

Case Mix : General emergency presentations across all acuity levels

FACILITY INFORMATION

Office Equipment Available : Standard emergency department setup

Specialty Backup Available : Hospital-based support as needed

Support Staff Available : Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)

Reason for Coverage : Coverage need

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required : Yes

Temporary Privileges Available : Yes (41 days to credential)

Credentialing Timeline : 41 days

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

General Emergency Medicine procedures appropriate to hospital-based ED

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Active Illinois state license (required, must have in hand)

Board : Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (required)

DEA : Active Illinois DEA (required, must have in hand)

Experience : Prior emergency medicine experience preferred

Other Qualifications : Telehealth experience not required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to all presenting patients

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute medical and traumatic conditions

Collaborate with APPs and nursing staff for patient care delivery

Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all encounters

Adhere to hospital protocols, credentialing, and compliance standards

Maintain readiness for flexible scheduling based on facility needs
