We’re searching for Tax Senior, Indirect to join our team and play a key role in driving our vision forward. At this time, we are not partnering with any outside staffing agencies . What You’ll Do :
- The Tax Senior (Indirect) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of indirect taxation (sales & use tax, GST, VAT, business licenses and property tax) to ensure full compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- The role involves managing indirect tax reporting, implementing efficient tax processes, providing strategic tax planning advice, and supporting business operations from an indirect tax perspective.
- Compliance & Reporting Manage and review the preparation and submission of all indirect tax returns (Sales tax, GST, VAT, etc.) for multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of returns, payments, and tax account reconciliations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing tax laws and assess their impact on the business.
- Coordinate with local finance teams and external advisors to ensure global compliance, as well as maintain the tax calendar.
- Advisory & Planning Advise on the indirect tax implications of business initiatives, transactions, and contracts.
- Identify and implement opportunities for indirect tax savings and process optimization.
- Support business units with cross-border transactions and indirect tax considerations.
- Lead or assist with indirect tax due diligence in mergers, acquisitions, or restructurings.
- Audit & Risk Management Act as the primary contact for tax authorities during audits or reviews.
- Prepare and manage responses to notices relating to queries, assessments, and disputes.
- Develop plans to modify and improve existing processes to reduce future audit risk.
- Conduct periodic tax health checks and compliance reviews.
- Process & Systems Improvement Enhance tax reporting accuracy through automation and process optimization.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement ERP tax functionality improvements.
- Maintain documentation for tax positions and ensure proper data retention.
- Coordinate with global or regional tax teams to ensure alignment on tax strategy and policies.
Position Requirements :
Minimum of 7 years of indirect tax compliance and advisory experience.Experience in a multinational or Big 4 environment.Manufacturing, Engineering or Commercial Industrial industry experience preferred. 4-year degree in accounting preferred, CPA preferred.Strong understanding of indirect tax regulations and accounting principles.Experience with ERP systems and tax reporting software.In-depth knowledge of GST / VAT frameworks and international tax principles.Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to handle multiple jurisdictions and deadlines simultaneously.Proactive problem solver with a strategic outlook.Why You’ll Love Working at Luminator :
