Role Overview
As the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, youll have the exciting opportunity to build REGENTs Environmental, Health, and Safety program from scratch. Without any existing systems, youll be laying the groundwork. Creating policies, processes, and cultivating a culture that will support REGENT through its first flight, into production, and beyond. Success in this role comes from a practical and proactive mindset : knowing when to establish structure and when to be flexible; when to develop policies and when to get hands-on on the shop floor; when to emphasize compliance and when to foster innovation. This is a builders role in a startup setting, ideal for someone who can turn principles into action, grow a team over time, and embed safety as a vital part of a brand-new industry.

What Youll Do
- Build an innovative and impactful EHS Program from the ground up by designing personalized systems and policies tailored perfectly to REGENTs exciting marine and aerospace environment.
- Practice dynamic, hands-on leadership daily , engaging directly with the team on the shop floor and test areas to spot hazards early, guide employees effectively, and foster a proactive safety culture.
- Cultivate a powerful safety culture across the organization , inspiring everyone from leadership to new hires through engaging training, recognition programs, and visible commitment.
- Take charge of risk assessments to identify hazards and implement innovative mitigation strategies that balance safety, cutting-edge technology, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with marine, OSHA, and environmental regulations by transforming requirements into straightforward, easy-to-apply systems suited for a vibrant startup environment.
- Develop and deliver engaging, practical training programs for employees, contractors, and suppliers that empower them to work safely every day.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and near-miss analyses to put effective corrective actions in place, sharing lessons learned to drive continuous safety improvements.
What Youll Bring
Deep expertise in manufacturing safety , with experience spanning both engineering safety environments and broader corporate frameworks.Proven ability to bring professionalism and structure amid the fast-paced, ever-changing dynamics of a startup.Recognized subject matter expert in risk assessment, compliance, and audit execution within complex manufacturing operations.Strong technical understanding of startup-scale manufacturing processes, systems, and safety protocols.Demonstrated success leading multiple simultaneous ramp-up projects .
