Job descriptionStarting January 5, 2026 Ongoing; coverage to fill service gaps and provider PTO Patient Demographics : Pediatrics only Patient Volume / Census : TBD Admissions : 0 average admissions while on call Rounding : Not specified Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : Pediatric ENT No. of Beds in Department : TBD Trauma Level : TBD EMR System : Epic Office Equipment Available : TBD Specialty Backup Available : 2 attending ENT surgeons, 2 physician assistants Support Staff Available : Experienced PAs and ENT team Reason for Coverage : New Position Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : No (Full Privileges) Credentialing Timeline : 90 days Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered Tonsillectomy Adenoidectomy Myringotomy with vent tube insertion Cauterization of the septum Frenulectomy Foreign body removal Abscess drainage Myringoplasty Laryngoscopy Licenses : Illinois license (can apply if not currently held) Board : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Otolaryngology DEA : Active DEA Certification required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS Experience : Minimum 1 year in specialty Other Qualifications : Proficiency with Epic EMR Provide clinical and surgical care for pediatric ENT patients Participate in coverage for the CHOI Pediatric ENT Clinic Support dedicated ENT team by filling in during service gaps or provider PTO Take night call coverage as needed
