This is a contract position with an opportunity to be hired full-time.

Integrity Trade Services  is partnering with a local energy company to hire a   Desktop & Mobile Support Specialist 1 .

Job Location : San Antonio, TX 78215

Pay Rate : $22.50 / hour (DOE)

We are seeking a is seeking a Desktop & Mobile Support Specialist 1 to provide Tier 1 (intermediate-level) support for desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, and associated peripherals. This position is responsible for performing basic hardware and software troubleshooting, setup, maintenance, and end-user support in a fast-paced technical environment. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of resolving a variety of user issues while ensuring documentation and standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities :

Unpack, install, configure, and deploy desktop and laptop hardware.

Provide basic end-user training for supported hardware and software applications.

Support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).

Set up and relocate IT equipment including PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and peripherals.

Document procedures, troubleshooting guides, and installation instructions.

Fully document all service requests, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system.

Maintain familiarity with Windows operating systems and Active Directory environment.

Troubleshoot and support common PC networking issues and connectivity problems.

Assist in setup and support of LCD projectors, TVs, and monitor displays.

Provide basic printer and plotter support.

Research alternative solutions for new or recurring problems.

Work collaboratively with IT teams and business units to support technology needs.

Maintain technical knowledge through independent learning and training.

Adapt to changing business requirements, technologies, and processes.

Work rotating shifts to ensure adequate customer support coverage.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in Computer Maintenance Technology, Computer Help Desk Support, Computer Network Administration, or a related field

OR

Equivalent relevant work experience in an IT support environment.

Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and supporting desktops, laptops, and related hardware.

Basic understanding of networking concepts and Windows Active Directory.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and troubleshooting.

Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.

Ability to distinguish colors for identifying components and wiring.

Preferred Qualifications :

Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified : Modern Desktop Administrator Associate).

Prior experience supporting IT systems in utility, construction, or maintenance environments.

Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.

Familiarity with LCD projectors, TVs, monitors, and audiovisual equipment.

Basic experience supporting printers and plotters.

Ability to develop positive working relationships with customers and team members.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment :

Office and field-based work environment.

May require lifting and moving computer equipment.

Ability to work rotating schedules, including after-hours or weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements :

Manual dexterity, sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
