We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to handle the accounting operations of our organization in Contoocook, New Hampshire. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in financial reporting and reconciliation who is ready to take ownership of bookkeeping processes and ensure accurate financial management. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems and supporting the overall success of our business.

Responsibilities :

• Perform month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and generating financial statements.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in general ledger entries.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Manage inventory reconciliation and assist with pricing evaluations.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure proper tracking of transactions.
• Handle automated payroll processing and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with external accounting firms during annual reviews to provide necessary documentation.
• Monitor and maintain accurate financial records to support business operations.
• Provide support and guidance to clerical staff handling basic accounting tasks.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll systems.
• Familiarity with inventory reconciliation and pricing strategies.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
