POSITION SUMMARY

Summary :

Provide intensive family strengthening services using the Safe & Connected practice model to partner with families navigating the child welfare system to identify, define, and address factors interfering with family safety, permanency, and well-being. Conduct thorough assessments, engage families and key partners in safety planning, develop relevant and realistic treatment goals, implement strategies to improve family safety, facilitate effective family meetings, and provide resource linkage and advocacy. Serve no more than six (6) families at a time whose children are at moderate to imminent risk of out-of-home placement, or who are in placement and cannot be reunified without intensive in-home services. Provide services primarily in client homes. Maintain a flexible work schedule that promotes availability to respond timely to client crises when they occur.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education :

Bachelor or Master’s degree in social work, psychology, human services or related field

Licensure / Certification :

Valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Good driving record, vehicle in good condition; automobile liability insurance that meets minimum age requirements.

Experience :

Ability to provide in-home services to children and families, experience working with complex and multi-need families, and familiarity with crisis intervention

Preferred Experience / Skills :

Requires Intermediate computer skills in typing / keyboarding, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook programs
