Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a VA or compact RN license and multiple AHA certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Emergency Department (ED) of a hospital setting
  • Patient population includes emergency and acute care cases
  • Night shifts available : 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 18 : 30 – 07 : 00
  • Rotating weekends and holidays are required
  • No call responsibilities
  • Contract length is 13 weeks
  • General orientation begins on Sundays, including completion of online CBLs and electronic learning modules
  • Participation in nursing student clinical education and support is expected alongside regular clinical duties
  • Nonbillable orientation includes approximately 16 hours and 4–5 hours of modules
  • Holiday coverage is required on a rotating basis
  • Local candidates within a 100-mile radius are not accepted
  • Scrub or dress code requirements may be specified based on hospital policy
  • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active VA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • AHA certifications required : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Must reside at least 100 miles from the hospital's service area
  • Candidates must complete drug testing within 12-14 days prior to start and be available for repeat testing if necessary
  • Facial hair must comply with CDC fit testing guidelines
