Job Title : Wastewater Consultant

Position Type : Part-Time / Contract

Summary :

The Wastewater Consultant is responsible for providing technical expertise in the operation of wastewater treatment facilities and ensuring compliance with Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation (TDEC) regulations. This position requires a minimum of a Tennessee Class I Wastewater Operator License (WW1). The consultant will also train and mentor employees to prepare them for wastewater operator licensure.

Rate of Pay : is based on License :   WW1- $28, WW2-$30, WW3-$32, and WW4-$35.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment facilities to ensure compliance with TDEC standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations of systems and recommend improvements.
• Provide structured training and mentoring to employees seeking licensure.
• Maintain required logs, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Assist with regulatory inspections and reporting.
• Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
