About The Position

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required

License : RN license required (IN or compact)

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE required

Description :

General job duties include care of the laboring patient.

Nursing duties during vaginal and cesarean deliveries are expected.

The unit utilizes EPIC Stork documentation and a Centricity fetal monitoring system.

A Pyxis medication system is used in the department.

No floating to other units or departments is required.

The unit has 16 labor and delivery rooms.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1 : 1, possibly 1 : 2 for early labor or induction of labor.

The dress code consists of hospital-provided scrubs.

Two 12-hour labor shifts will be conducted during the orientation program.
