Electrician

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Electrician with commercial experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial facilities, including office buildings, retail spaces, and industrial properties. This role requires a thorough understanding of commercial electrical codes, safety practices, and the ability to lead and mentor helpers and apprentices.

Key Responsibilities :

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components in commercial settings (lighting, switchgear, conduit, panels, transformers, receptacles, etc.).
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure proper installation and compliance.
• Pull wire and run conduit (EMT, RMC, PVC, etc.) efficiently and safely.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to existing systems.
• Conduct tests using appropriate tools (e.g., multimeters, circuit testers) to ensure proper system performance.
• Ensure work is done in compliance with the NEC and local electrical codes.
• Supervise and mentor electrician helpers and apprentices on job sites.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure job site is OSHA-compliant.
• Communicate clearly with foremen, project managers, and other trades on site.
