Job Summary

Homeland has partnered with a leading manufacturing company who is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer / Drafter to join their team at their U.S. headquarters in Katy, TX. The Electrical Designer / Drafter will play a key role in developing detailed electrical designs and schematics, with a strong emphasis on using AutoCAD Electrical.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Designer / Drafter who is looking for a long-term career path with opportunities for advancement. The Electrical Designer / Drafter will be part of a collaborative team environment focused on high-quality engineering and continuous innovation.

Responsibilities

• Create technical wiring diagrams, power layout drawings, and specification sheets
• Generate accurate component lists based on I / O lists, equipment details, and panel specifications
• Maintain organized control of drawing data and file structures
• Standardize electrical drawing templates and technical documentation
• Enhance engineering workflow using AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software
• Ensure all electrical designs meet applicable safety and regulatory standards (e.g., UL, IEC)
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve design issues
• Review, revise, and update drawings as project requirements change
• Keep all project documentation current, accurate, and well-organized
