Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring an active OK or compact RN license, night shifts, and at least one year of ICU experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital setting within the Medical ICU
  • Patient population varies from simple to complex medical cases
  • Assigned 12-hour night shifts, three times per week
  • Care for an assigned group of ICU patients
  • Occasional minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
  • Responsibilities include delivering competent nursing care, monitoring physiological data, administering medications and infusions, and assisting physicians as needed
  • Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates patient care plans with patients and families
  • Participation in discharge planning and patient / family education is expected
  • Travelers may only extend one time for a total of 26 weeks before a 6-month separation is required
  • Scrub and dress code details will be provided upon assignment

  • Active OK state or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of one year ICU RN experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
