As a Warehouse Shipping Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of our shipping and receiving processes, contributing to the success of our biotechnology organization.

Responsibilities

• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs), including electric pallet jacks and turret trucks.
• Perform basic transactions using ERP and RF systems.
• Support the receiving and inspection of incoming materials, ensuring accurate data entry in ERP systems and adhering to GDP.
• Label, stage, and store materials in appropriate warehouse locations, including cold storage, following cGMP and safety protocols.
• Pick, pack, prepare, and ship orders, including hazardous and biological materials, in compliance with cGMP and approved procedures.
• Fulfill reservations to support CDMO operations efficiently.
• Transport materials across the site, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards and safety protocols.
• Assist with daily and weekly inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate material tracking and inventory control.
• Deliver materials to internal teams, ensuring all movements are documented according to GDP.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMP, and GDP rigorously in all tasks.
• Use shipping software to prepare outbound shipments accurately and maintain related documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas consistent with cGMP requirements.
• Comply with all applicable safety regulations, including the use of PPE and handling of hazardous materials.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Environment

The role supports basic daily warehouse operations in a highly regulated environment, ensuring materials are handled, labeled, stored, and shipped safely. The work requires adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP), with a strong focus on detail, time management, and consistency in following procedures. The standard shift is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, but flexibility is required as shifts may change to 10 am to 7 pm.

This is a Contract position based out of Gaithersburg, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
