Job description

A leading healthcare institution is seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Clinical Scheduling Specialist to support its disease-specific care teams in coordinating appointments for new and established patients. Specialists will manage a caseload of 15–20 patients, including high-profile individuals, and serve as a key liaison between patients, providers, and the clinical team. Responsibilities include managing provider calendars, scheduling appointments through Epic (EMR), communicating via email and Patient Gateway, and prioritizing tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations. This role is ideal for professionals with strong organizational and communication skills who thrive in fast-paced, patient-centered environments.

Duration : 3 Options

  • 1 opening is 6-month contract to hire
  • 1 opening is a 3-month contract with extensions
  • 1 opening is a 3-month contract (covering medical leave)

Schedule :

  • Monday-Friday
  • 8AM-5PM
  • Onsite
  • Full-Time schedule (Can't change the schedule so you can leave earlier or start later)
  • Must Haves :

  • Demonstrates experience in a professional work environment (any industry)
  • Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to patient or client satisfaction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with urgency, flexibility, and attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow within a dynamic healthcare setting

  • Plusses :

  • Prior experience in a patient-facing or healthcare-related role
  • Exposure to scheduling or administrative coordination
  • Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
  • Compensation : $23 / hr to $25 / hr

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and / or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
