Job Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Therapist , you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients across all age groups during the night shift (6 : 00 p.m. – 6 : 00 a.m., with rotating weekends). You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and monitor individuals with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.

Key responsibilities include :

• Responding to emergency situations, including all cardiopulmonary arrest calls, to provide airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Administering respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, nebulization, and aerosolized medications using a variety of delivery methods.
• Performing arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpreting results in collaboration with physicians.
• Managing mechanical ventilation, including setup, patient monitoring, and airway suctioning.
• Conducting pulmonary function tests and sleep studies, explaining procedures and documenting results for physician use.
• Maintaining respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring it is functioning safely and in compliance with sterilization protocols.
• Serving as a resource to other Respiratory Therapists , nurses, and physicians to optimize patient care outcomes.
