Job description

Adecco is currently hiring for a Service Desk Technician for a 4-month opportunity with the possibility of extension in Newark, DE . This is a fully onsite position, Monday through Friday, with one of our valued clients. We're seeking a tech-savvy, customer-oriented professional to provide first-level technical support in a fast-paced IT environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic networking issues for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and user interactions in the IT service management system.
  • Assist with onboarding / offboarding processes, including user account setup and equipment provisioning.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate IT teams when necessary.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and timely issue resolution.
  • Follow IT policies and procedures to ensure consistent support standards.

Qualifications :

  • 3-7 years of experience in a service desk or technical support role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or similar are a plus.
  • Pay Details : $47.00 per hour
