Position Summary The Senior Manager, RACE Team role, will be responsible for leading a cross-functional, agile marketing pod that turns trends, insights, and data into opportunities to Rapidly Advance Consumer Engagement (RACE). The team's operating model enables it to move at accelerated timelines, quickly taking ideas to market with the goals of learning and scaling. This position will play a crucial role within the broader marketing department of driving innovation and ensuring that CVS operates on the forefront of consumer relevance.
Responsibilities
- Use data and insights to develop business cases and marketing plans
Constantly source customer insights, business data, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities to engage consumers in new ways
Synthesize inputs to develop potential solutions and thoughtful actionsClearly frame opportunities to be actionable and understandable to multiple audiences, including marketing leadership and cross-functional partnersDevelop the necessary learning agendas and KPIs to measure the impact on the business and provide learnings for future optimizationsLead and influence to drive work forwardCommunicate ideas clearly and persuasively to influence partners and stakeholders.
Create compelling narratives to drive strategic initiatives forwardBring ideas to life through clear, impactful presentations and briefings.Confidently make decisions, or escalate where needed, to keep work moving forwardSocialize the team's work within marketing and other areas of the organization to create awareness of the team's output and learningsEffectively prioritize work to maximize team's impactOwn project backlog and regularly adjust priorities based on business needs, consumer impact, and internal dependencies
Consistently provide direction to the team on what projects and outcomes should be the focus alongside clear timelinesEvaluate and filter opportunities coming to the team to determine how to allocate budget, time, and resourcesBuild collaborative relationshipsDevelop strong working relationships with partners across the marketing organization, including creative, media, analytics, and marketing channel experts.

5+ years of marketing experience with a strong foundation of business, retailer, and consumer understanding.3+ years of cross-functional leadership experience.2+ years of retail marketing or retail agency / strategy experience.2+ years of digital marketing experience including examples of testing and validating emerging opportunitiesPreferred Qualifications
Experience working in a highly-matrixed organizationA customer-first mindset that drives decision-making within the in-store and online customer experienceOmni-channel marketing experience with a strong understanding of paid, owned, and earned channelsQuantitative skills (data analysis, sales trends, forecasting, market sizing) that can be used to organize and interpret data to create actionable insightsBudget management experience, which includes both the ability to make informed decisions on how marketing dollars should be allocated as well as the responsibility of tracking and communicating that spendIntellectual curiosity and a willingness to question the status quo to drive improvements and optimizationsHighly motivated, self-starter who can thrive in a demanding, performance-driven environment and make thoughtful decisions even when under tight deadlinesAbility to solve problems by identifying and removing barriers while maintaining a positive and collaborative attitudeProven track record of working collaboratively with internal and external partners to deliver business resultsEffective oral and written communication skills that can be used to articulate plans and strategies to a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadersStrong PC knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointEducation

The typical pay range for this role is :
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
