Inside Sales Representative
Oregon Steel Mills is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their dynamic team in Portland Oregon. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will perform all facets of Inside Sales duties and act as support for Outside Sales by developing new leads and building relationships with customers to enable Oregon Steel to secure the greatest volume of profitable sales.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for order solicitation, pricing and quotations, order write-up, expediting, claims processing, and general telephone work as well as assuming responsibility for accounts and projects
- Responsible for understanding the roles and functions of various departments and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Keeping up-to-date on competitor activity within the industry, (e.g., pricing, product developments, policies, company changes, and report all significant information to Sales Management and Outside Sales Representatives)
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field or commensurate experience is preferred3 to 5 years of business to business (B2B) sales experience, preferably metals relatedStrong interpersonal skills; able to deal with opposing opinions and effect compromise, customer service orientedTime management skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task, while maintaining accuracy and functionalityComputer literate with experience in Microsoft OfficeMust be able to travel on occasion, as requiredWilling to work extended hours to meet objectivesOur total compensation package includes amazing benefits!
