Associate Attorney Requirements
- Member of the Florida Bar
- 6+ months – 1 year of personal injury experience in pre-suit and litigation matters (motor vehicle accidents and premises liability cases)
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills
- Excellent academic credentials and interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and absorb knowledge from experienced attorneys and team members
- Experience from a defense firm is acceptable
Associate Attorney Responsibilities
Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery requests / responses under the supervision of senior attorneysConduct legal research and prepare memoranda on liability, damages, and procedural issuesHandle pre-suit investigations, reviewing accident reports, medical records, and insurance documentsCommunicate directly with clients to provide updates, gather facts, and explain legal processesPrepare settlement demands and assist in negotiating with opposing counsel and insurance adjustersAttend and conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and medical providersMake court appearances for hearings, status conferences, and motionsAssist with trial preparation, including witness outlines, exhibit lists, and jury instructionsMaintain organized case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court orders and firm protocolsBenefits
