Key Responsibilities :

  • Assess each call to determine the best course of action in accordance with Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize your Paramedic skills with medical equipment and procedures to provide advanced care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, ensuring they feel informed and reassured.
  • Lead the Paramedic team and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance during emergency 911 responses.
  • Collaborate professionally with allied health personnel and fellow Paramedics.

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Engage in community programs to enhance the AMR image and foster strong community relations.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Upload color photos of the following documents to your Candidate Profile :
  • CA Driver's License
  • CA State Paramedic Card
  • CA Ambulance Driver's License (must show issued date)
  • American Heart Association Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS / PEPP, BTLS / PHTLS
  • Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Confirmation of EMS Orientation Webinar scheduled date or completion certificate
  • Preferred qualifications include ICS 100, ICS 200, and NIMS 700.
  • Proof of vaccinations (TDaP, TB, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Influenza) is required; acceptable alternatives include titers or proof of vaccines in progress.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required; advanced education is preferred.
  • Previous healthcare experience is desirable.
  • Ability to pass a Physical Agility Test, including lifting and balancing tasks.
  • Must be able to handle various equipment and objects safely.
  • Strong observational skills to detect patient condition changes are essential.
  • Readiness to work overtime as needed, often on short notice.
  • Good physical stamina and body condition are necessary for the role.
  • Your driving record must comply with AMR's safety and driving policy.

    Salary Range : $39.04 - $57.95 per hour (applies to 12-hour shifts with an average of 42 hours per week). Other hourly rates may be available based on your shift type; please ask your recruiter for details.
