Pay Range : $125,000 -$175,000 per year based on experience (Salary + Commission, plus Year-End Bonus)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator (HVAC) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems estimation with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical construction, design-build projects, and cost analysis. This position plays a key role in our preconstruction and bidding process. Ensuring our proposals reflect both precision and value , in alignment with More Air Mechanicals long-standing commitment to quality and client satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, controls, and insulation.

Review project plans, specifications, and scope documents to determine material, labor, and equipment needs.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure comprehensive and accurate bids.

Develop and maintain unit cost databases and historical project data for pricing accuracy.

Analyze bid documents and provide value engineering recommendations to optimize cost and performance.

Lead pre-bid meetings and coordinate with vendors and suppliers for material quotations.

Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Support the development of bid strategies and risk assessments.

Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

Maintain estimating documentation, historical cost databases, and proposal records for future reference.

Mentor junior estimators and support team development.

Qualifications

5+ years of HVAC estimating experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.

Proven understanding of mechanical systems design, layout, and installation processes.

Proficiency in estimation software such as Bluebeam, Trimble, FastDUCT, or similar .

Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

LEED accreditation or familiarity with sustainable design practices is a plus.
