About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 2 years in PICU or CVPICU experience

License : Valid state license preferred upon submission

Certifications : BLS, PALS; NRP preferred

Must-Have :

First-time travelers accepted with CVPICU experience

Able to provide care to critically ill pediatric patients

Experience with bedside procedures including central line placement, arterial line placement, and intubations

Comfortable with various medical equipment such as ventilators and ICP monitors

Collaborative team player with interdisciplinary support experience

Description :

The position is for a registered nurse specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

The nurse will provide care to critically ill patients from birth to young adulthood.

Responsibilities include performing bedside procedures and managing critically ill patients.

The nurse will work in a family-centered atmosphere, offering comprehensive care across various health issues.

The team comprises board-certified pediatric intensivists and specially trained personnel.

The PICU cares for patients with medical, surgical, cardiac, oncologic, and trauma diagnoses.

Advanced treatment modalities, including continuous renal replacement therapy and ECMO, may be required.

Patient ratios on nights are typically 1 : 1 or 1 : 2.

Weekend coverage is expected.

The position includes floating within the hospital to pediatric and NICU units.

The candidate should possess the required skills and certifications for effective patient care.
