Ancillary Coder

A company is looking for an Ancillary Coder Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and assign codes for outpatient medical record documentation

Ensure accurate coding for Diagnostic / Clinical, Emergency Room, Recurring, and Specimen patient types

Adhere to appropriate coding guidelines and criteria for ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 HCPCS codes

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

One or more coding certifications required (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H)

Coding experience preferred

Coding Certificate program (AHIMA accredited) preferred

Experience in coding at a multi-facility organization and remote coding experience is a plus
