Job Title : Cloud Architect

Location : Bellevue, WA or Frisco, TX (Onsite 2 3 days / week)

Duration : 12 18 Months (Contract)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cloud onboarding and governance across the organization. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cloud onboarding, networking, Kubernetes, and application teams to design, implement, and automate scalable cloud solutions.

You will be the primary technical point of contact for internal customers looking to migrate or onboard applications into the cloud environment, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to governance standards.

Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture & Design

Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures aligned with enterprise standards.

Develop reference architectures and reusable solution patterns for AWS and Azure environments.

Cloud Onboarding & Governance

Establish and enforce governance frameworks, policies, and best practices for cloud onboarding.

Ensure application onboarding complies with security, operational, and architectural guidelines.

Automation & Tooling

Develop automation scripts and workflows using tools such as Terraform, Ansible , or similar.

Drive continuous improvement of cloud onboarding processes through automation and optimization.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the go-to SME for internal teams migrating workloads to the cloud.

Provide architectural guidance, troubleshoot onboarding issues, and answer technical inquiries.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with networking, Kubernetes, DevOps, and application teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration.

Support cloud readiness assessments and migration planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Cloud Architect in enterprise environments.

Strong hands-on expertise with AWS and Azure cloud platforms .

Deep understanding of cloud governance frameworks , compliance, and best practices.

Proficiency with automation and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).

Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization, and core networking concepts .

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in telecom or large-scale enterprise organizations.

Relevant certifications such as :

AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate / Professional)

Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Equivalent cloud architecture credentials.
