Senior Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer to lead and support design, operations, and construction projects for gas processing plants and gathering systems. This role involves providing technical expertise in electrical and instrument design, programmable logic controller (PLC) programming, and system optimization to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Design and Project Support
- Develop and approve designs for gas processing plants, gathering pipelines, compressor stations, and associated facilities.
- Prepare construction plans, material specifications, and project cost estimates.
- Optimize systems for capacity, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct calculations related to electrical requirements and operational cost estimates.
Project Coordination
Collaborate with internal departments, producers, and contractors to manage projects, including bid proposals, contracts, and construction activities.Oversee the selection of materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with standards.Address and resolve operational challenges and coordinate communication systems.Technical Assistance and Analysis
Provide guidance on plant P&ID controls, SCADA systems, and motor / electrical designs.Conduct studies on process control improvements and failure analysis for electrical systems.Evaluate and recommend solutions for operational issues and technical challenges.Documentation and Compliance
Prepare and analyze engineering studies, bid proposals, construction contracts, and reports.Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, codes, and standards.Evaluate new products, techniques, and materials for potential implementation.Education and Experience
Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in electrical / electronics.Experience :Thorough knowledge of gas processing plant design, construction, and operations.
Proficiency in PLC programming and control systems such as AB, GE, Fisher ROC, and WonderWare.Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.Experience in project management, contract preparation, and engineering analysis.Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical documents.Effective communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate tasks effectively.Physical Demands
Primarily sedentary work with occasional requirements for walking, lifting, and climbing.Frequent use of computers and other technical equipment.Ability to perform occasional fieldwork at construction sites.Work Environment
Climate-controlled office environment with occasional travel to job sites.Travel
