As a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving significant transformations at Capital One.

What You'll Do :

Oversee a diverse portfolio of technology projects and lead a team of skilled developers experienced in distributed microservices and full stack systems to develop solutions that address compliance and regulatory requirements.

Stay ahead of technology trends, explore new tools, and share knowledge within the engineering community while mentoring junior engineers.

Work closely with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans in their financial journeys.

Utilize a range of programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, HTML / CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services (Docker and Kubernetes), and various AWS tools and services.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree

At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)

At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications :

Master's Degree

7+ years of expertise in at least one of the following : JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go

3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service

4+ years of experience with open source frameworks

1+ years of people management experience

2+ years of experience in Agile practices

This role is located in Riverwoods, IL, Chicago, IL, or McLean, VA, with a salary range of $175,800 - $220,700 based on location and experience. Performance-based incentives, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives, are available.
