About the role

We are seeking a skilled Demand Planning Specialist to join the Operations Governance and Reporting team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize our operational capacity and forecast future resource needs across various operations teams that support Life and Retirement.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with Operations and Vendor leaders to develop and maintain forecasting models to predict workload and resource requirements.
  • Analyze historical data to identify patterns and forecast future demand.
  • Create capacity plans to ensure optimal staffing levels across different operational units.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency.
  • Recommend process improvements and resource allocation strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Conduct scenario planning to prepare for various business contingencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Research, Statistics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in forecasting, capacity planning, or similar analytical role, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with forecasting and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of insurance operations and industry-specific challenges.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is a plus.

  • For positions based in Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $90,000 - $120,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
