Material Handler Opportunity

Surestaff is immediately hiring a Material Handler for a large, well-known client in Pleasant Prairie, WI. The Material Handler is responsible for preparing and moving materials for storage in the warehouse. They are also responsible for the correct packaging, preparation, and storage of finished goods in the warehouse, and supporting production needs for raw materials. A successful Material Handler will be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Surestaff is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($21.50 / hr. depending on experience) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available Shift : 1st shift 6am - 6 pm

Responsibilities of the Material Handler :

• All Safety, ISO, GMP and Product Safety regulations must be observed
• Responsible for daily inspection of forklifts and completing Forklift Log
• Shrink wrap and band Finished Goods as necessary
• Prepare, label, store and scan WIP and Finished Goods into the warehouse system as required by procedure in both the North and South buildings.
• Identify and repack all pallets of finished goods that are damaged during warehouse handling by Material Handling personnel.
• Responsible for the storage of designated materials.
• Support production by delivering raw materials and pallets to production as needed.
• Keep all work areas clean / organized.
• Maintain organization of all cartons and other packaging materials in warehouse
• Coordinate shipments of empty Gaylord containers with the Shipping Supervisor
• Ability to train junior employees on warehouse functions
