Job Title : QC Technician - Newark
Department : Quality
Reports To : Quality Manager with ultimate accountability to the Plant / Site Manager
Position Summary : The Quality Control Technician is responsible for conducting chemical and physical testing of SPIN disk products using lab equipment such as pH meters, analytical balances, and SPIN meters, as well as preparing reagents and investigating product issues. The role requires strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend. Technicians must also support lean initiatives, maintain safety standards, and assist with continuous improvement efforts across the department.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Responsible for preparing standards and vats used in the daily testing of SPIN disks.
- Conducts performance tests on start-up and hourly disk samples.
- Conducts physical / vacuum testing on pouched disk products.
- Responsible for interpreting data and making reagent adjustments as needed.
- Investigate customer complaints pertaining to SPIN products.
Schedule & Hours : 12-hour shifts, 82 hours bi-weekly, 6 : 30 am-6 : 45 pm, working every other weekend.
