The Safety and Quality Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that workplace safety and product / service quality standards are consistently met and improved. This role supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety programs, quality control processes, and compliance initiatives. The coordinator works closely with leadership, supervisors, and team members to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do : Safety :
- Develop and implement workplace safety policies, conduct proactive safety audits and hazard assessments.
- Implement Flooring North America (FNA) and divisional safety programs at the plant level and maintain records of site training.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses. Complete root cause investigations including recommendations for corrective measures.
- Maintain records of safety-related activities (training, incident reports, inspections).
- Schedule and conduct annual safety training to include LTO, LOTO, and safety harness training.
- Lead Safety Committee meetings. Assist with generation and implementation of Employee Engagement Initiatives.
- Understand OSHA regulations and assist management and Safety Specialists in applying regulations to the manufacturing operations.
- Manage Action Item list for all Safety Related items.
Quality :
Support the development and implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM).Conduct inspections, audits, and testing to ensure product and process quality standards.Assist in root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions (CAPA).Track, analyze, and report quality metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.Ensure compliance with customer and industry-specific standards.Other :
Partner with HR to increase new hire retention, be accessible and visible on the floor, be prepared and organized, help resolve issues and give timely feedback, educate new employees on the policies, procedures, culture, and key relationships, and ensure the MPACT program operates smoothly.Work with operations and leadership to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.What You Have :
High School Diploma or GED equivalency
2+ Years manufacturing environment experience
Previous experience in a Safety role (preferred)
A willingness to learn on the job and grow your career
