About The Position

Echo Tech

Profession : Echo Tech

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday

Experience : Minimum 3 years of previous healthcare experience

License : Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI)

Certifications : BLS (American Heart Association)

Must-Have :

• Positive attitude and proven willingness to assess and improve work environment
• Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow

Description :

Performs routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures following departmental guidelines.

Demonstrates acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment.

Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness.

Documents accurately and completely.

Cross-trains to other divisions of cardiovascular services.

Administers contrast when needed and not contraindicated.

Completes documentation of studies performed and charges in the electronic medical record system as well as complete preliminary info in the designated system for physician reading.

Is included in a rotation of call through the week and on weekends with other team members.

Is team-minded and provides compassionate care and quality studies to patients.

Performs all forms of echocardiographic testing in a timely fashion.

Seeks to advance knowledge in all aspects of echocardiography with an open mind to constructive learning and teaching.
