Core Responsibilities :

As the Community Mental Health Data Analyst in the Office of Behavioral Health, you will :

  • Assist in the collection, organization, and analysis of data to support the Community Mental Health Team.
  • Review and assess data quality from multiple sources, ensuring compliance with federal and state standards.
  • Support federal reporting requirements under the Community Mental Health Services Block Grant (MHBG), including preparation and submission of Uniform Reporting System (URS) data tables.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and documentation of data systems that track outcomes for adults with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and children with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED).
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders, translating complex data into accessible, actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with OBH program staff, providers, and the Behavioral Health Planning Council to support evaluation and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Participate in cross-program analytics and special projects related to mental health and substance use initiatives.
  • This position will interact with members of the community mental health team as well as the data team staff daily to ensure that all community mental health data and evaluation needs are met. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills, be organized, and a strong team player. The OBH Data Team is a highly collaborative unit that often experiences peak, high-paced periods throughout the year. You may also be responsible for assisting the team on other various tasks as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications :

    In order to qualify, you must have six (6) years of education, training, and / or experience analyzing, evaluating, and / or developing improvements to organizational and / or managerial systems, programs, and practices.

    Preferred candidates will have :

  • Demonstrated data analysis skills using Excel, Tableau, SQL, or similar programs.
  • Knowledge of federal behavioral health reporting systems, such as MHBG or URS.
  • Understanding of community mental health services and behavioral health data structures.
