Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or compact state

At least 1 year of recent experience as a PCU RN or Step Down Registered Nurse

BLS certification (required)

ACLS certification (preferred)

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to adults requiring intermediate level monitoring and specialized interventions

Monitor vital signs, assess changes in patient condition, and respond promptly to clinical needs

Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform nursing procedures within scope of practice

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans

Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care

Accurately document all nursing care provided in a timely manner
