Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based general ultrasound department Perform a wide range of ultrasound exams with a strong focus on obstetrics, including maternal fetal medicine Additional exams include general abdominal, some vascular (DVT studies), and minor procedures such as paracentesis and ultrasound-guided biopsy Shifts consist of 4x10 hours, rotating between 7 : 00 AM–5 : 30 PM and 8 : 00 AM–6 : 30 PM Rotating call required Floating may be required in accordance with facility policies Locals are accepted First-time travelers are considered Primary responsibilities include conducting OB scans, fetal anatomical survey, and supporting maternal fetal medicine cases Perform some vascular and general ultrasound studies as needed Team support includes orientation when floating to related units Expect to work some holidays as scheduled Dress code or scrub requirements not specified All requests for time off must be submitted in advance and may be limited, especially in the first two weeks or for full weeks off Requirements Minimum of 2 years ultrasound experience, specifically with maternal fetal medicine and OB ARDMS certification required; OB specialty preferred Ability to perform adult, ER, OB, abdominal, vascular, and minor procedure ultrasound studies Experience with Doppler studies, transvaginal, and portable ultrasound exams Submission must include 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years Full 7 year work history required with all gaps explained License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627768.
