Responsibilities Position is located in the ICU within a hospital setting Care for neuro ICU patients including post-surgical and multisystem organ dysfunction cases Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00 3 to 4 weekend shifts per month required, typically Friday or Saturday night Nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1 : 1 to 1 : 2 or more Care involves airway management, ventilated patients, artline management, central lines, IV drips and vasopressors, sedation, and dysrhythmia interpretation Computerized EMR documentation required Responsibilities include frequent neuro assessments, ABG and dysrhythmia interpretation, and management of patients on isolation precautions Will manage a variety of post-surgical and critically ill neuro patients Must provide two professional references for consideration Night shift staff expected to provide care across varying acuity levels in the ICU Requirements Active KY or compact RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum of 1.5 years of recent ICU experience with strong neuro background Previous travel nursing experience required Proficient in continuous IV sedation, vasopressor titration, and management of complex neuro patients Experience with post craniotomy, CEAs, fem-pops, post thoracic surgeries, and neurosurgeries Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624699.
