NV5 is a multidisciplined firm with Environmental Scientists, Geologists, Engineers, Planners and Architects dedicated to quality of life projects. This position provides an excellent growth opportunity for candidates to work with a team of diverse professionals on a variety of projects in the public and private sector. The desired candidate must be able to work on projects independently with minimal supervision and be flexible in working on projects simultaneously. The candidate should have 4-8 years of experience. Responsibilities

NV5, Inc. is seeking the following individual with 4-8 years of experience :

  • Field Investigations of contaminated soil and groundwater with appropriate NYSDEC, NYCDEP, and NYC Office of Environmental Remediation (OER) protocols
  • Thoroughly familiar with DER-10 / Technical Guidance for Site Investigation / Remediation, CP-51 / Soil Cleanup Guidance Policy, SEQR / CEQR requirements, NYSDOH indoor air / soil vapor procedures, and NYC E-Designation remedial requirements
  • Construction management oversight and construction management specializing in environmental remediation and construction services including clean borrow soil testing, contaminated soil excavation and handling, waste characterization, and nonhazardous and hazardous waste transport and disposal including the preparation and maintenance of all associated documentation.
  • Preparation of Phase I ESA and Phase II ESA Reports, Phase II ESA Workplans, Health and Safety Plans, and Quality Assurance Project Plans
  • Preparation of Site / Remedial Investigation Reports, Remedial Action Workplans / Reports, and CAMPs
  • Vapor Intrusion Investigations and IEC Assessments / Reports
  • Soil / Groundwater / Sediment / Air Remedial Investigations
  • Contaminant fate and transport model development and analysis / Deed Notice Preparation
  • Oversight of geological logs, geological cross-sections, contour map development, and field hydrogeological investigations / aquifer characterization
  • Conduct asbestos, lead-based paint, and PCBs building surveys

  • Qualifications

  • NY Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP)
  • NYS / NYC Asbestos Certification and USEPA Lead Inspector / Assessor License is a plus
  • MicroStation is a plus
  • Professional licensing is a plus
  • Strong analytical and math skills
  • 4-Year Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or related discipline
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and updated 8-Hour Refresher
  • Must have a valid driver license

    The pay range for this position in New York is $80,000.00 to $100,000.00; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the New York Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location.
