Description :

Travel RN Pediatric Oncology position available.

Shift is from 7 PM to 7 AM.

The unit consists of 12 beds and has a staff of 24.

Day shift includes 1 Charge Nurse and 3-5 RNs based on patient acuity.

Night shift also includes 1 Charge Nurse and 3-5 RNs based on patient acuity.

Patient ratios are typically 2-3 : 1, depending on the acuity of the patient population.

The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

Typical procedures performed include administration of chemotherapy, bone marrow aspirates / biopsies, and lumbar punctures with and without chemotherapy.

This position requires a fit for teamwork and collaboration.

Four weekend shifts are involved in the scheduling.

Floating may occur to pediatric medical / surgical floor, pediatric intensive care unit, neonatal intensive care unit, and cardiac intensive care unit.

Scrubs are to be royal blue in color.
