PositionSummary
This position is anexperienced level mining position and is assigned to the underground miningoperations. It will provide work directly to the safe operation of miningequipment, maintenance of equipment, and general labor support for allunderground operations.

·Responsible for thesafe and efficient production of coal and/or assistance in the production ofcoal in general work areas
·Visually inspectwork area for potential hazards
·Ensure that bodymechanics, equipment, and tools are utilized in a safe and responsible manner
·Safely, effectively,and efficiently work and respond to changing conditions within the mine
·Must comply withcompany, mine and regulatory policies and approved procedures
·Ability to work wellwith others

·This position is defined by the Dictionary ofOccupational Titles as a heavy job category and must be able to lift, carry,pull/push, climb, shovel, walk, pry, work on/near moving equipment and performany job specific activity as required by job assignment
·Must possess effective critical thinking andcomprehension skills
RequiredSkills and Experience
·Must be at least 18 years of age
·Must be able to work as scheduled and arrive tothe worksite promptly to receive work assignment and prepare for the start ofthe shift
·Must be able to work on/near moving equipmentas required by job
·Must be able to understand and grasp miningconcepts and safety strategies
·Most possess West Virginia Miner'sCertification
